Lucas Arts isn’t the only one who can do a special edition! Here’s Beneath Monkey Island, like you’ve never heard it before…

In which Carl (the Swordmaster of Jambalaya Island) and Guybrush Threepwood (a buckler of swashes if ever there were one) set off on a voyage to the far off distant land of Monkey Island! Meanwhile, in a secret evil volcano lair, an evil plot is being… plotted…

Note: This is a completely remade version of Beneath Monkey Island, Part 02, in which the part of Guybrush Threepwood is now played by Justin Franklin (who plays Guybrush from parts 4 – 10).

I think it’s safe to say that auditions for ‘The Power of Monkey Island’ have been a success. It maybe goes to show the population of Nightlight listeners / Monkey Island fans when I announce that there were no ladies amongst the auditions! As a result, the roles of the Voodoo Lady and Elaine are still open, and you can give it a go by going to the original audition entry.

So I’d like to thank all of those who flicked on their microphones, put on a silly voice, and sent it in. If you weren’t successful, don’t feel downcast – there was a limited number of roles, a large amount of talented competition, and ultimately, probably a fair number of additional parts that will come out in the months to come.
