“It’s the theatre restaurant of the mind…”

Podcasts?

With the debut of this website design, Nightlight Productions is entering the potentially long overdue land of podcasting. Now already I hear a slight ruckus being raised. Some feathers being ruffled. Maybe even the tendency to stray towards a ‘bit of a tiff’. Fear not, gentle listeners - boycotting Nightlight isn’t neccessary. Put down the rifle and get out of the clock tower - it’s not the end of the world.

What is a podcast?

The word ‘podcast’ gets handled around a fair bit, and seems to be generally misunderstood. No, you don’t need an i-Pod to listen to them. You can but you don’t need to. Basically you have a program sitting on your computer that will check the website, see if there’s something new to listen to, and download it. It’s that easy. iTunes is indeed one of these programs, it’s not the only one!

You don’t want to do that? That’s no problem. You can come to the website and click ‘download’ like you always have, business as normal. Everything that you can get through a podcast feed will be on the website as well. It’s the solution that suits everyone!

So what can I expect to hear?

You’ll get the normal array of Nightlight goodies - radio plays varying from ‘classics’ (stuff you’ve potentially heard before) to new material (something that I’m sure is going to be highly anticipated) to something I hope to do once a month - a proper radio show, with a celebrity stopping by for a chat.

Well I’m sold! How do I ’subscribe’ to the Nightlight Podcast?
